Svein Finnerud was one of Norway's leading avant-garde jazz pianists.
He was also an accomplished artist, specializing in the graphic arts.
This production unites these two sides of Finnerud, featuring a picture f
or every piece of music. Each reinforces the other, giving the listener a
deeper insight into these abstract art forms.

Featured on this CD are some of Norway's leading jazz musicians,
performing in duo, trio, quartet and quintet formats. Their playing is
inspired and creative in a way that only free-improvised music allows.
This recording marks the end of Svein Finnerud's artistic journey -
he died in June 2000, shortly after this CD was released. It is then
maybe even more meaningful that he chose to let his son, Bendik
Finnerud, close this recording with a beautiful interpretation of
Scriabins "Prelude in C Major".
