The Trio is proud to present its new release on Resonant Music,
"In Color". The members haven't changed, Petter on sax, Ingebrigt
on bass and Jarle on drums, but this time The Trio has been
"reinforced" by the great Dave Liebman on soprano and tenor sax.
The link to Liebman can be traced back to 1994, when Petter
contacted Dave about taking some lessons. Since that time,
they've kept in touch. When The Trio again had the possibility to
record, they decided to add a fourth voice, and Dave Liebman was
the natural choice. In contrast to The Trio's first recording, "Meet
The Locals", with its evident roots 1950's bebop, "In Color" offers
a wider spectrum of music.

Daves playing, which stems from the freer approach of the 1960's,
adds a vibrancy to this recording, hence the name, "In Color".
"In Color" was recorded in two seperate sessions, one American,
with Dave, and one Norwegian. They are both representative of where
The Trio is today, five years after their musical journey together began.
